Part of the challenge of beginning can be the implication that something else is ending. Staying present with what is new may require us to also stay present with what is no longer. Paradoxically, facing our endings, losses, and grief can breathe new life into what was, and can allow us to begin again with our hearts most open. What helps you look the past head on as you say goodbye to it? [image description: Two hearts stand facing each other. One heart has a tear on its cheek. Text reads: "Beginner's heart looks you in the eye and says," and the other heart says, "Goodbye."]
