Whole communities can hold their shared stories together with care through oral traditions, histories, community guidelines, vision statements, art, art objects, murals, sacred texts, and more. We can then tell each other parts of our collective stories that we need to remember at important times. And we can do so with ritual and mindfulness. What is a practice or tradition your communities use to keep your community stories safe? Text reads: "Our vaults are where we keep love and trust safe."] #MindfulHearts retrospective. On this day 2020. On this day 2019. On this day 2018. Celebrating three years of daily cartoons.

In response to the much-needed call for #COVIDCompassion, #MindfulHearts offers the sister chant of #QuarantineCompersion.
The art and skill of understanding the suffering of others and feeling and acting on the impulse to lessen that suffering goes hand in hand with the art and skill of feeling and acting on the impulse to nourish joy everywhere. May we all have moments of joy that grow and extend through the times we live in and beyond. |
