Like my mother, Karen, who contemplated in 1972 at age 30, "Is it worth the labor and sweat to gather loose leaves?", making decisions about where we put our energy and attention and for how long can bring doubt. For many of us, these decisions can bring up highly personal versions of a wide range of doubts: Will I regret this? How long should I keep trying? Am I paying attention to the right thing? How do I learn to see more? What am I missing? What should I prioritize today? This hour? Right now? Is this worth it to me? What is the point of what I'm doing? Listening to all of these doubts can be overwhelming, even while they may all be relevant. What helps you integrate doubt and come back to inner peace? Text reads, "Is it worth the labor and sweat to gather loose leaves?"]
