Some days become anniversaries in our own lives that other people, sometimes including people very close to us, just aren't tracking. We may have a range of reactions to the everydayness of how the world keeps going about with itself around us, reactions including distraught alarm all the way to bittersweet gratitude. However we meet these anniversaries, just raising our awareness that they are coming our way or are already here can provide some space to do some self-care, to call in community care, and to honor these life cycles of birth, growth, death, loss, mourning, grief, transformation, resilience, and reimagined joy, all of which we carry forward with us, in ways that work for us. What is helping you prepare for hidden anniversaries as we step toward the ending of the year? [image description: Two hearts stand holding hands. One smiling heart is being led forward by the other heart with a quizzical facial expression who has inside its chest a smiling, turquoise, polkadot heart who is also looking where the second heart is pointing at a polkadot cat perfectly perched on an upright beam near them. Text reads, "Moving forward is not the same as letting go."]
