There can be a lot of different and good reasons why we wait in line, take turns, and do things, go forward, or simply exist in a certain order. Sometimes we don't need words to explain or know how and why this order exists, or to feel comfortable and good about these linear processes. We may in fact find a kind of sanctuary in having to get in line, slow down, pause the busy parts of life, and do something more predictable. Though at other times, we may find going in order draining and bothersome and even infuriating and unjust. We may wish we were more connected to our inner patience and wise action to help withstand the experience or perhaps to help change it. And even in these times, we may have a kind of knowing that is wordless and that tells us that this is just the way it is right now. What helps you wait in line? What do you like about taking turns?
