When we are mad, expressing our anger can be scary. Yet, it can be difficult to hide our anger. Anger is often clearly expressed through our body language regardless of the words that we say. Still, in order to stay safe in some situations, we may have learned to completely mask our anger by contorting our bodies to such a degree that we end up doing damage to ourselves and our bodies. For this reason, it can be really important for our health to say openly to someone when we are angry. What helps you speak up about your anger? In response to the much-needed call for #COVIDCompassion, #MindfulHearts offers the sister chant of #QuarantineCompersion.
The art and skill of understanding the suffering of others and feeling and acting on the impulse to lessen that suffering goes hand in hand with the art and skill of feeling and acting on the impulse to nourish joy everywhere. May we all have moments of joy that grow and extend through the times we live in and beyond. |
