Unpacking our childhood experiences with each other can be scary and challenging and possibly necessary for our healing and to have loving and connected relationships. This effort to get to know each other's younger parts and oldest hurts can be seen as the art of forming explicit attachment-based relationships. The folx we choose to develop open and conscious attachment-based relationships with are folx we do the sometimes painful and yet truly honorable work with of rewiring our brains and nervous systems for more security and more inner peace while we're living. Give a shout-out to someone who you are relating with consciously toward co-healing your attachment traumas. In response to the much-needed call for #COVIDCompassion, #MindfulHearts offers the sister chant of #QuarantineCompersion.
The art and skill of understanding the suffering of others and feeling and acting on the impulse to lessen that suffering goes hand in hand with the art and skill of feeling and acting on the impulse to nourish joy everywhere. May we all have moments of joy that grow and extend through the times we live in and beyond. |
